Charlotte, NC – July 6, 2021 – The Line, a 316,000 SF, 16-story retail and office tower located at 2151 Hawkins Street will be property managed by Trinity Partners. The mixed-use project, developed by Portman Holdings and owned by National Real Estate Advisors, is expected to be complete in October 2021.

The Line was designed to combine community and connection within the bustling submarket. The development will have 293,000 SF of office and 23,000 SF of retail space. The Line’s anchor tenant, Sycamore Brewing, announced its plans for a 7,200 SF taproom, 6,000 SF second level with full bar and private events space, and expanded beer garden that will overlook the neighboring light rail. Sycamore’s space will back up to The Passage, a corridor that connects Hawkins Street and the Rail Trail, and will include seating, artwork, and community meeting space.

The property will also feature 304,500 SF of structured parking with a total of 710 spaces, highly efficient floorplates, multiple roof terraces with sweeping views of South End and downtown Charlotte, and an eighth-floor sky lobby and amenity terrace. Floors eight through 16 will serve as designated office space and the below floors are parking and retail.

In the heart of South End, The Line is right on the Rail Trail and next to the Design Center and Atherton Mill. Tenants are steps from more than 25 restaurants, six coffee shops, six wine and beer shops, 2,650 multi-family units and two grocery stores.

The Line’s development team created the brand in collaboration with Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection and CEO of popular streetwear brand Off-White. The project’s architect is Gensler, and DPR Construction is handling construction. Foundry Commercial is responsible for leasing the property on behalf of ownership.

“We’re thrilled to bring Trinity’s collaborative and entrepreneurial culture to this exciting project,” said Heather Thompson, Partner and Director of Property Management at Trinity Partners. “Portman’s vision for The Line has paired so well with South End’s surrounding community, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to create an engaging and positive experience for both tenants and visitors.”

Trinity Partners currently manages 7,778,628 SF of office, industrial and retail space in Charlotte.
